Remarks on Board Ship Levant M Cooper master
Monday 28 Commences with fresh breezes WNW Steering ESE Middle part at 11 Strong Squalls tuck In fore Steering Sail Latter part at 5 PM Capt went on deck found Daniel Harres boat Steerer under a boat that lay under on the Caboos* Spoke to him twice before he Could git anyserr from him apon that the Capt toled him if he found him down agane he would wet him the Capt had toled him repetled to keep up and look out if not he Should do It with that the Said Daniel Harres toled him fi he did it would be the last that the Capt would wet & repeted it three or fore times the Capt told him to goe aloft the Said Daniel harres toled him he shand not the Capt order him three or fore times to goe but he Still Said he would not on Less on duty with that the Capt put him in irons at half past Seven is Come on deck the Capt toled me to giv him bread and water When ever he wanted it. I went to him and toled him that he Could have Something to eat & drink when ever he wanted it apon that he Said when his harts blood was bold then he would let me know
